SPEEDY CHOW MEIN HOT DISH 
1 lb. ground beef
3 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (No. 2) can chow mein vegetables
1 (No. 2) can chow mein noodles
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 soup can water
1 tbsp. soy sauce (optional)

Brown meat and onion until well done. Add chow mein vegetables (do not drain), soup, water, soy sauce, salt and pepper to beef. Simmer 5 minutes. Add chow mein noodles and cook 15 minutes more.
