TOFFEE BARS 
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal

Mix first 6 ingredients until creamy. Add flour and oatmeal. Pat into 2 (12 x 8) greased pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost.

QUICK CARAMEL FROSTING:

6 tbsp. brown sugar
4 tbsp. sweet cream
2 tbsp. butter

Mix and bring to boil. Remove from heat. Add enough powdered sugar to spread over bars.
