SWEET INDIAN PUDDING 
3 c. milk
1/3 c. molasses
1/3 c. corn meal
1 beaten egg
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt

In saucepan, combine milk and molasses; stir in corn meal. Cook, stirring, until thick, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Combine egg, sugar, butter, salt, cinnamon and ginger. Gradually stir in hot cornmeal mixture. Bake uncovered in 1 quart casserole at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

Do not substitute anything for molasses or it won't set or taste right.

Do not overbake, watch time closely.
