PUMPKIN CAKE AND FROSTING | |
2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cloves 4 eggs 2 c. sugar 1 c. Crisco or Wesson oil 2 c. pumpkin FROSTING: 8 oz. cream cheese 1 1/2 tbsp. butter 2 tsp. vanilla 1 box powdered sugar 1 c. walnuts Sift together first 6 ingredients in large bowl. Beat together eggs, sugar, and oil. Mix with sifted ingredients and add pumpkin. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool before topping. FROSTING: Cream butter and cheese gradually, then add remaining ingredients and beat until fluffy. |
