MICROWAVE CHILI 
8 oz. ground meat
1 tsp. instant minced onion
1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans, drained
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 med. green pepper, diced
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1/2 c. uncooked instant rice
1/2 tsp. salt

In a 2-quart casserole, crumble ground meat and add green pepper and onion. Cook uncovered on full power for 2 minutes, stirring once. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese.

Cover and cook on medium-high for 15 minutes, stirring once, or until rice is tender. Top with cheese; heat uncovered at medium-high for 30 seconds more.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
