ELLIE'S GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
1/2 lb. bacon
5 potatoes, cooked and cubed
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar, white or cider
1 egg, beaten

Cook bacon and set aside, reserve drippings. Combine potatoes, bacon, and onion. Add salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar and egg to bacon drippings. Heat thoroughly and pour over the potato mixture. Place in 325°F oven for 30 to 45 minutes to heat throughout.
