PUMPKIN BISQUE 
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/8 c. freeze dried chives (or fresh if available)
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. leaf thyme
Freshly ground pepper to taste
2 cans One Pie Brand unseasoned pumpkin
2 cans College Inn brand chicken broth
2 c. milk (or all purpose cream if you don't mind the calories)

Melt butter in large kettle; add celery seed, chives, bay leaf, and thyme. Saute for a few seconds until chives appear wilted. Add the two cans pumpkin and the 2 cans chicken broth and ground pepper and bring to a simmer. Stir in the 2 cups milk and simmer gently for 15 minutes. Even better the second day!
