TREASURE CHEST TUNA MELT | |
2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans tuna in water, drained 3/4 c. celery, chopped 1/2 c. green onion slices 2 hard cooked eggs, chopped 1/2 c. Miracle Whip 1 Italian bread loaf 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cheddar cheese, shredded or sliced in half 1/2 c. tomato, chopped Combine tuna, celery, onion, eggs and Miracle Whip; mix lightly. Cut a lengthwise slice off top of bread, remove center of bottom, leaving a 1 inch shell. Place half of cheese in shell; fill with tuna mixture. Cover with tomato, remaining cheese and top with a bread slice. Wrap in foil. Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings. |
