Equal amounts of salt and white flour

In a large mixing bowl measure in salt and white flour; mix together. Put food coloring in water and add enough food coloring to make the water darker than the desired color. Slowly add colored water to flour and salt mixture until the mixture is the right consistency, mixing all along. Store play dough in a covered container.
