CRISPY PEANUT DROPS 
1/2 c. soft butter r butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. roasted or parched peanuts

Cream butter and sugars until fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. Mix flour, salt and baking soda and gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in peanuts. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown 10 to 12 minutes. Let stand a few minutes before removing to wire racks to cool. Makes about 3 dozen.

May use 1/2 cup each of granola and carob or chocolate covered raisins instead of peanuts.
