TIJUANA TORTE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 (4 oz.) can chili salsa
12 corn tortillas
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese

Brown beef and onions in a skillet. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili salsa and taco seasoning mix. Combine thoroughly and simmer 10-15 minutes. Place about 1/4 cup meat mixture in bottom of 9x13 inch baking pan. Place 2 tortillas side by side on the meat mixture. Top each tortilla with some meat mixture and grated cheese. Repeat until each stack contains 6 tortillas layers with meat and cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until cheese is bubbling. Cut each stack into fourths with a sharp knife before serving. Serves 4-6.
