CHOCOLATE TORTE 
1ST LAYER:

1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 sticks melted butter

Mix with fingers and press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

2ND LAYER:

1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip

Mix together and spread.

3RD LAYER:

3 pkgs. chocolate instant pudding
4 1/2 c. milk

Beat for 6 minutes; spread.

4TH LAYER:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cool Whip

Spread. Sprinkle top with chopped walnuts and shaved chocolate.
