GREEN TOMATO RELISH | |
1 peck green tomatoes 18 med. onions 18 med. sweet peppers 1 red sweet pepper for color 3 c. vinegar 8 c. sugar 3 tbsp. salt 3 tsp. turmeric 6 tsp. celery seed 6 tsp. mustard seed Wash and grind tomatoes, onions and peppers. Pour boiling water over vegetables then drain off liquid. Add vinegar, sugar, salt, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed. Boil for 15 minutes and seal in hot jars. Yields about 18 pints. |
