COUNTRY FRIED CHICKEN | |
2 chickens (cut up and soaking in water) 2 c. flour 4 c. vegetable cooking oil salt pepper Place chicken pieces in water, let soak for 10 minutes. Heat grease in large frying pan until hot and turn heat down to medium. Dip 1/2 of chicken pieces in flour, coating them well; place in hot grease (without pieces touching), sprinkle salt and pepper on top. Cover and let cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown, turn over and salt and pepper other side, cover for 10 more minutes. Place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat process with remaining chicken. |
