GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
3 lbs. sm. potatoes
1 onion, chopped
Salt and pepper
5 tbsp. corn oil
5 tbsp. cider vinegar
1/2 lb. sliced bacon, diced

Cook potatoes; cool, peel and slice thin into large bowl. Add onion, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar gradually. If preparing beforehand, do not refrigerate. Before serving, fry bacon, drain and add bacon to salad. If desired, a little bacon fat can also be added.
