KANSAS CITY STEAK SOUP 
1 stick butter
1 c. flour
2 cans beef bouillon
3 c. water
2 1/4 lbs. ground beef
1 can tomatoes
2 lg. onions
4 stalks celery
5 carrots, peeled & sliced
2 pkgs. frozen mixed vegetables
Pepper & salt to taste

Melt butter in large pot, add flour. Make smooth paste, stir in beef bouillon, water and cook until thick. Cook beef, add to pot, add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil about 30 minutes. Serves 10 to 12. This can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use.
