COCONUT WHITE CAKE 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Cream shortening, sugar thoroughly. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Place batter in two 9 inch greased and floured pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost with white icing and cover generously with coconut.
