BULLWINKLE BUNS | |
2/3 c. shortening 1 tbsp. salt 1/2 c. sugar 2 c. boiling water 2 c. dark flour 1/2 c. dark molasses 1 egg 2 pkgs. yeast 1 c. warm water 6 c. white flour In large bowl pour boiling water over salt, shortening and sugar. Stir and cool. Add dark flour, molasses and egg; mix well. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water and add to above. Mix in approximately 6 cups flour, knead for 10 to 15 minutes, let raise until double in size. Shape into buns, let rise again then bake at 375 degrees. |
