RED HOT APPLESAUCE SALAD 
2 1/2 c. boiling water
2/3 c. sm. red cinnamon candies
2 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
1 (1 lb.) can or 2 c. sweetened applesauce
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. nuts

Combine boiling water with cinnamon candies in saucepan; stir over low heat to dissolve candies. Remove from heat; stir in gelatin. Blend in applesauce. Pour half of mixture into a 2 quart mold or 8 inch square pan. Chill until firm.

Blend softened cream cheese with mayonnaise; add nuts. Spread cheese mixture over chilled mixture. Pour remaining gelatin mixture over cheese mixture. Chill several hours or until firm.
