PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in pulp
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 c. melted butter
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. each cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves

Cream the melted butter and sugar. Add the beaten egg; add pulp. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture. Add nuts and raisins. Drop from teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until set but still soft in the center.
