CHOCOLATE CHIP CRACKERS | |
1 c. brown sugar 1 stick butter 1 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. chopped nuts Saltines (enough to cover baking sheet) Line non-greased baking sheet with saltines. Combine brown sugar and butter in small saucepan. Boil for about 5 minutes (to soft ball stage). Pour mixture over crackers, spreading evenly with spoon. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chips and nuts. When chips begin to melt you can refrigerate for 5 minutes or so to speed setting time. When set, break apart with fingers and serve like peanut brittle. |
