ALMOND FRUIT FLOAT 
1/3 c. water
1 env. unflavored gelatin

Mix and let stand. Place 1 1/2 cup milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and add 1/3 cup sugar, stir then add 1 cup and stir. Add 1 teaspoon almond extract; stir and then pour into a glass dish 8 inches in diameter and refrigerate until set.

When set, 4-6 hours, cut into strips 1 inches wide in one directions then cut strips at right angels to the first strips. This will give 1 inch squares. Separate into 6 bowls and top with mandarin oranges, or fruit cocktail and syrup (optional). After stirring in almond extract, you can stir in any food coloring of your choice, a few drops only.
