RUTH'S CANDIED YAMS | |
3 1/2 lbs. sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced thin Layer in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Make a syrup using: 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. nutmeg 2 c. water 1 tbsp. vanilla Mix well. Cook to a boil and pour over sweet potatoes. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour until candied and thick. Do not add butter. Good cold or hot! |
