SHARON'S CHILI (NOT HOT) 
2 lbs. ground beef
Dash of chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 c. water
1 clove garlic
1 lb. 14 oz. can sm. red beans

Brown meat, pour off fat. Saute onion and green pepper and add to meat. Add seasonings, sugar, sauce, water, garlic. Cover, simmering for 1 1/2 hours.

Add small red beans, simmer uncovered 30 minutes longer. Serve in bowls with grated Cheddar cheese on top. Lots of crackers on the side! Serves 4.
