APPLESAUCE FRUIT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. unsweetened cooked apples
1 c. Crisco
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. baking soda (dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water)
2 c. sugar
1 box white raisins (dredged in flour)
3 c. plain flour
1 lb. fruit cake mix (dredged in flour)
1 can coconut

In mixer, mix Crisco, sugar, then add apples, raisins, pecans, cinnamon and soda water, mix well. Then with hand, mix in flour, mixed fruit and coconut, because dough is very stiff. Bake in tube pan at 275 degrees for about 2 hours.

ICING:

1 stick butter (softened)
1 box powdered sugar
Handfull flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix to spreading consistency with can milk.
