1 c. heavy cream
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
20 famous chocolate wafers
Red candied cherries, optional

Whip cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff. Spread wafers with part of cream. Put together in stacks of 4 or 5. Chill 15 minutes. Stand stacks on edge on plate to make one long roll. Frost outside of roll with remaining cream. Refrigerate at least 3 hours. Garnish with red candied cherries, if desired. Cut diagonally at a 45 degree angle. Makes 8 (about 3/4 inch) slices. Roll may be frozen, if desired. Remove from freezer to refrigerator about 1 hour before serving.
