RHUBARB TURNOVER 
4 c. cut up rhubarb
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 2/3 c. flour
1/3 tsp. salt
3 3/4 tsp. baking powder
5 tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. milk
1 lg. egg

Cut up the rhubarb and put it in a buttered 9"x13" pan. Put the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg over the top of the rhubarb. Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder. Add the shortening and mix like you would pie crust. Beat the egg and add to the milk. Pour this liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and mix or blend well but do not beat. Put over the rhubarb mixture. Spread it out evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. Serve with cream.
