SAND TARTS 
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all purpose flour
1 c. pecan halves
Confectioners' sugar

In bowl cream butter until soft. Blend in sugar and vanilla; add flour. Finely grind pecans, stir into dough. Roll dough into walnut size balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Roll warm cookies in confectioners' sugar, cool, roll again.
