SHERRY GLAZED SPARERIBS 
3 to 4 lbs. spareribs (regular or country style)
Salt and pepper to taste
Onion slices
Lemon slices
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. dry sherry
1/2 c. honey
2 tbsp. wine vinegar
2 tbsp. onion, minced
1 clove garlic
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Sprinkle salt and pepper over ribs. Place in shallow roasting pan and lay onion and lemon slices on each piece of meat. Bake in 400 degree oven for 45 minutes (1 hour for country style). Drain off fat. While ribs are cooking, combine remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and simmer about 10 minutes. After fat is poured off ribs, pour one half of the sauce over the ribs and cook for 45 minutes longer. Pour remaining sauce over and cook for an additional 45 minutes, basting with sauce occasionally. Pan may be covered for last cooking period if ribs look too brown.
