OVEN-BAKED CHICKEN | |
3 - 3 1/2 lb. chicken (fryer) 1/2 c. soy sauce (low salt version) 2 tbsp. salad oil 1 clove garlic (or equiv. powder) 1/2 c. wheat germ 1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs May substitute 3/4 c. crushed corn flakes or rice cereal 2 tbsp. sesame seed 2 tbsp. chopped parsley 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. paprika Combine first 3 ingredients. Pour over chicken which has been placed single layer in baking dish. Let stand 10 minutes. Turn chicken several times to coat all sides. Mix together rest of dry ingredients. Drain chicken from marinade, then coat with crumb mixture. Put chicken on greased rimmed baking sheet. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. |
