PINEAPPLE OR APPLE SQUARES 
1 3/4 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. butter, melted

Mix above ingredients and pat into greased 9 x 13 inch pan, leaving some of the mixture for topping. Add fruit (any pie filling may be used) and remaining topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

PINEAPPLE FILLING:

1 med. can crushed pineapple
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar

Cook above until thick. Cool and spread over oatmeal mixture. Add rest of oatmeal/flour mixture and bake.
