DEBORAH'S SALADE DE FENOUILLE 
Fresh fennel
Mayonnaise
Sour cream
Salt and pepper
Chopped fresh dill

Cut the fennel in pieces and blanch for 2 minutes in boiling water. Drain and cool. Make a dressing by mixing equal parts mayonnaise and sour cream. Season to taste with salt and pepper and dill. Just before serving, toss the fennel with the dressing (otherwise, it gets watery).
