STEWED OKRA AND TOMATOES 
2 slices bacon, cut up
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 med. green pepper, chopped
1-2 lbs. okra, cut up
1-2 lbs. tomatoes, peeled & chopped
1 tsp. salt

Fry bacon in heavy skillet until brown; remove from skillet. Saute onion and pepper in bacon fat; add bacon and remaining ingredients. Cover; cook for 30 to 40 minutes. Serves 6.
