PECAN TURTLE BARS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter softened

CARAMEL LAYER:

2/3 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. pecans
1 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine crust ingredients. Mix into fine particles. Pat firmly into ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 pan. Sprinkle pecans over top of crust. Prepare caramel layer. Pour over pecans and crust. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until caramel layer is bubbly. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chips. Allow chips to melt. Then spread.

Caramel Layer: Combine brown sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until entire surface of mixture begins to boil. Boil 1/2 to 1 minute. Spread over crust.
