STANDING RIB ROAST OF BEEF 
Standing rib roast, 2-3 ribs high (4-5 lb.)
Garlic salt
Black pepper

Place roast fat side up in roasting pan; season heavily with garlic salt and black pepper. Place at 325 degree oven. DO NOT COVER. DO NOT ADD WATER. Roast to desired degree of doneness. Allow for rare 18-20 minutes cooking time PER POUND, 22-25 minutes per pound for medium, 27-30 minutes per pound for well done. With a meat thermometer cook to 140 degrees for rare, 160 degrees for medium, 170 degrees for well done. Make sure meat thermometer is in thickest part of roast and is not touching bone.
