CHERRY WINKS 
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. pecans
1 c. dates
1/3 c. maraschino cherries
2 1/2 c. corn flakes, crushed

Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Blend together Crisco and sugar. Add the eggs. Blend in dry ingredients. Add the pecans, dates and cherries. Drop a teaspoon full of dough into corn flakes and toss to coat. Form into balls. Top each cookie with maraschino cherry. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
