HARVARD BEETS | |
1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/3 c. sugar 1/4 c. water 1/4 c. vinegar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. (diced or sliced) cooked beets 1 tbsp. grated orange peel 2 tbsp. butter, melted Blend cornstarch and sugar; stir in water, vinegar and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add beets and grated orange peel and simmer for 15 minutes. When ready to serve put in the butter and bring to a boil. |
