GINGER CREAM COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2/3 c. syrup
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. cold water
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon

Drop by teaspoon and bake in oven at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Cool; may be iced with confectioners sugar icing.
