SOUR CREAM CABBAGE (TEJFOLES
KAPOSZTA)
 
1 sm. head cabbage, shredded
4 tbsp. butter
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. sour cream
Salt and pepper to taste

Select a solid tender head of cabbage. Wash; frying the butter in heavy saucepan until tender but not brown. Beat the egg in a bowl; add the sugar, salt, pepper and vinegar and sour cream. Mix, heating thoroughly. Serve with any main dish.
