STRAWBERRIES ROMANOFF | |
2 pts. ripe strawberries 1/3 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar 1/3 c. Grand Marnier or Cointreau Peel of 1 orange 3/4 c. heavy cream Remove stems from strawberries. Rinse well and drain on paper towels. Place strawberries in a bowl and add 1/3 cup sugar and Grand Marnier. Cut around the orange with a potato peeler to produce a very thin spiral of peel. Add the water thin pieces of peel. Stir gently and refrigerate. Whip the cream and flavor it with remaining 2 tablespoons sugar. Serve it separately. Serves: 8. |
