THE BEST BAKED BRISKET | |
4-5 lbs. brisket Celery salt to taste Onion salt to taste Garlic salt to taste 1 bottle (3 oz.) liquid smoke Salt to taste Pepper to taste Worcestershire to taste 1 (6 oz.) bottle barbeque sauce 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. water Put meat in Pyrex baking dish and sprinkle with celery, onion and garlic salts. Pour liquid smoke over meat; cover and refrigerate overnight. To prepare, sprinkle both sides of meat with salt, pepper and Worcestershire. Put in baking pan and cover with foil. Bake at 275 degrees for 5 hours. Uncover and pour barbeque sauce over meat. Cook for 1 hour more. Remove meat to platter and cool for 1 hour. Remove fat from pan. Add flour and water; heat and mix well. Cut meat in thin slices and pour sauce over it. |
