MOCK INDIAN PUDDING 
5 slices bread (white, wheat or oatmeal)
3 eggs
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. molasses
6 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 stick butter, melted
Dash each of cinnamon & nutmeg

Break the bread into a buttered 2 1/2 to 3 quart casserole. Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Set the casserole in a large pan and add at least 1" water to outside pan. Place in a 400 degree oven and bake for 30 minutes. Lower oven to 350 degrees. Stir pudding at 15 minute intervals 3 more times. Continue to cook until knife inserted comes out clean. About one hour after lowering temperature. (Total cooking time will be 1 1/2 hours.) Serve pudding warm with ice cream, whipped cream or hard sauce.
