HEAVENLY HOT FUDGE SAUCE 
1/2 c. butter
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 2/3 c. evaporated milk (tall can)
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter and chocolate over very low heat. Stir in sugar, about 1/4 at a time (being sure it is blended before making another addition). Mixture will become very thick and dry. Then add salt slowly. Stir in the evaporated milk a little at a time. Continue to cook for about 7 or 8 minutes to blend the flavor and dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Serve hot or cold. Good over plain cake or ice cream. Good stored in refrigerator. Will keep several days. Reheat to serve.
