ALMOND COOKIES 
3/4 c. chopped almonds
1 c. chocolate bits
2/3 c. softened butter
1/4 c. white sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in vanilla and almond extract and egg. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and gradually add egg to mixture. Stir in chocolate bits and almonds. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet and bake about 8 minutes. Makes 5-6 dozen.
