ROLLED GINGER COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. molasses
2 tbsp. vinegar
5 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2-3 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves

Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg, molasses and vinegar. Mix in dry ingredients. Chill. Roll and cut. Bake at 375 degrees for 5-10 minutes on greased cookie sheet.
