IRISH SODA BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. caraway seeds
1 c. buttermilk

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda into a bowl, stir in raisins, caraway seeds. Add enough buttermilk to make the dough soft. Knead on board until stickiness disappears. Form into round flat loaf and place on a greased baking pan. Cut X in top and bake in oven at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Lower oven to 350 degrees and continue baking 40 minutes longer.
