OLD FASHIONED CORN BREAD 
1 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Blend together flour, baking powder, salt and cornmeal. Add sugar, if desired. Mix thoroughly. Add egg and milk to dry ingredients and bake at 375 degrees or until golden brown.
