PLAIN CAKE 
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. milk
2 unbeaten eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavoring
Few drops yellow food coloring

Combine first 6 ingredients and mix for 2 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and beat for 2 more minutes. Pour batter into greased and floured loaf or 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for about 45 minutes or until done. Serve plain or with fresh fruit and whipped cream. Cake freezes well.
