WHOLE WHEAT BANANA BREAD 
3 lg. bananas, mashed
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup melted butter

Mix the above ingredients together in a large bowl.

1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup dates

Sift together flour, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, sugar and nutmeg. Stir into banana mixture, mixing well.

Stir in 3/4 cup raisins and 1/4 cup dates.

Pour into 1 large or 2 smaller greased bread pan. If 2 pans are used, less baking time is required.

Bake for 1 hour at 350°F.

Awesome recipe. I skipped the raisins and dates. I used raw sugar, Mexican vanilla, and I can't believe it's not butter... Yummy lower cal banana bread! I only needed to cook it for 45 minutes.

I used the Splenda sugar blend because I live with a diabetic and I hate Splenda so it's the compromise. I also used Smart Balance 50/50 butter and omitted the raisins and dates. It was delicious and healthy!

I used egg beaters, 1/2 c. splenda, 1/4 c. Turbinado sugar and skipped the dates. Tasted a bit salty? But for whole wheat very tasty. Made 2 smaller loaves, baked about 40 minutes.

I added blueberries and a little oatmeal. I also let it rise for an hour before baking. Made cupcakes, 2 out 3 kids ate two of them. Yummy and healthy, thanks!
