PEACH DESSERT 
4 eggs, separated
1 box single layer cake mix
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. Cool Whip
1 (29 oz.) can peaches
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Add water to egg yolks to make 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons. Combine mix; beat 4 minutes. Pour batter in 8 inch round cake pans. Beat egg whites until foamy. Add sugar until stiff. Add vanilla. Spread meringue on unbaked batter. Add nuts.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Loosen and cool meringue side up. Place on plate 2/3 of Cool Whip and peaches on 1st layer then add other layer. Add remainder Cool Whip and peaches.

A 13 x 9 pan may also be used to make a 1 layer pan cake.
